Nemes Nagy Ágnes - "Maszk nem takarta már" - Nemes Large Ágnes-képeskönyv

The photographs left in the legacy of Ágnes Nagy Nemes show the main stages of her life, from her not-so-idyllic childhood through her shining youth and her struggling creative years to the fulfillment of her literary role. The same clear and penetratingly intelligent gaze stares back from each photograph. The photographs are accompanied by texts selected from her poems, prose writings, and interviews, which follow the life of Ágnes Nagy Nemes, present her views on the world and literature, and, like a small breviary, offer a selection from her oeuvre.
On the centenary of the birth of Ágnes Nagy Nemes, she is continuously present in Hungarian literature not only with the indisputable value and radiant spirit of her writings, but also with her actuality. The volume brings this presence closer to the readers with the personality of the photographs.

"I'm greedy. I'm wild.
I am a prisoner of myself.
Terror and hatred
it tightens my skin.

I'm pretty, I'm beautiful.
I'm long-legged, healthy.
From my smile - full of honey -
sticks out, from the tin, the handle of my being."
