During the burning of the ear candle placed at the entrance of the ear canal, a slight, pulsating, vibrating heat and horn effect is created in the ear canal. The resulting "massaging" effect is also transferred to the eardrum. The tympanic membrane transmits the pulsating pressure stimuli, the slow vibration to the middle ear, and the middle ear to the inner ear. This complex vibration and pressure balancing process can have a positive effect on the entire system of the ear, the facial and sinuses.
There are many meridian and acupuncture points around the ear and in the ear canal. These hard-to-reach points are excellently stimulated by the ear candle. Thus, ear candling helps to restore and maintain an upset energy balance in a special way.
