Product description
The reader is holding perhaps Ferenc Móra's best-known, autobiographically inspired youth work. Little Gergő is raised by his father, the poor wretch, with infinite love and wisdom. The little boy's knowledge of the world grows on his own skin, at the cost of experiences, and this leaves deeper traces in him than if he only listened to his parents' admonitions. The coveted little cake is made slowly, but with lots of love. It's not surprising, since the seamstress is sewing a miracle quilt, in which a fairy will live. Márton Szűcs tells his son a lot of things, while he embroiders all the love of his heart into the little ködmön. In this way, it becomes a magic charm, which, however, is only convenient if the wearer always tells the truth and behaves like a human being.
