Product description
Good indoor air quality is a prerequisite for good health. Mill Sense keeps you informed and up-to-date about the indoor air quality and climate of your household. Whether on the go or at home, you can ensure healthy indoor conditions for you and your family.
You can improve indoor air quality with simple steps, the first step is to become aware of potential problems and understand what needs to be improved.
Humidity
Excessive humidity can cause mold growth and lead to asthma and allergies. Good indoor ventilation is therefore particularly important when showering, drying clothes and/or cooking. Dry air can also be problematic, especially in winter. This can cause home damage such as creaking or cracking wood floors and furniture. Thanks to new construction techniques, the indoor relative humidity in new houses often falls below the recommended values, which is partly due to good insulation. A humidifier/dehumidifier, for example, can be a solution to achieving the recommended humidity level in the apartment. The recommended humidity: 30-60%. Maximum accuracy: relative humidity sensor ±2.0% RH
TVOC
Total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs) are airborne chemicals and toxins emitted by everyday objects such as paint, furniture and cleaning products. They can be harmful in high concentrations, causing irritation in the eyes, nose and throat. Depending on the level and length of exposure, TVOCs can cause more serious damage to the liver and kidneys. Mill Sense measures the following TVOCs: Alcohols, aldehydes, ketones, organic acids, amines, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons. Recommended TVOC level: < 220 ppb. An air purifier, for example, can ensure that the TVOC level is within the recommended value.
Temperature
A healthy indoor climate starts with a constant temperature. Indoor temperature affects health (e.g. prevention of disease / respiratory infections), performance and general comfort. It is also not recommended to turn off the indoor heating completely in unused rooms, as it can lead to mold together with the humidity. Connect Mill Sense to, for example, Mill WiFi heaters for more precise temperature control. The stable, comfortable temperature can be customized and adapted to daily routines. Recommended temperature: 18-25°C. Maximum accuracy: Temperature sensor ±0.15°C
ECO2
eCO2 refers to the estimated concentration level of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the air. Moderate to high levels of CO2 can cause headaches and fatigue, and higher concentrations can cause nausea, dizziness and vomiting. The eCO2 measurement is calculated from the VOC measurement - if significant VOC concentrations are present, the eCO2 measurement will be higher than the actual CO2 level. Good ventilation and regular ventilation are important to maintain the recommended eCO2 level. Recommended eCO2 level:
