One of the main tasks of the children's Bible, written by Hungarian authors and illustrated by a Hungarian graphic artist, is to bring Old and New Testament stories closer to 21st century children, and thus make the biblical examples alive and relatable. When writing the children's Bible, which can be recommended from preschool to 10-12 years old, the authors tried to make the text suitable for evening storytelling, independent reading, and children's devotionals, whether in the family, at school, or in church. For lay people, holidays such as Christmas, Easter, Pentecost, and less well-known significant days such as Palm Sunday or the Feast of the Ascension were given an important role in the volume. In order to be used in religious education, the topics were selected in such a way that they correspond as closely as possible to the official religious education curricula issued by the main authorities of the Christian churches. The language and style of the Talking Bible is close to the language use and reading skills of today's children, the authors start the given stories with an introduction that calls for common thinking. Csilla Kőszeghy's inspired drawings convey the serenity of faith.
