The Adaptec® Smartraid 3254-16i/E RAID adapter provides maximum performance for SAS/SATA/NVME functionality for server OEMs, storage systems, data centers and corporate customers compared to previous generations.

Microchip, based on the 5th generation SmartroC 3200 storage controller, Smartraid 3254-16i /E supports the X8 PCIE GEN 4 hosts with a port version viewing 16 media for internal three-way connection. New technologies available with Smartraid 3200 families include DirectPath, which integrates a PCIe switch to solve the industry's lowest delay and largest bandwidth NVME, as well as Microchip Dynamic Channel Multiplexing (DCM) technology, which compare 100%relationship efficiency for unparalleled permeability. Native HBA modes are supported for all types of media, which offers the lowest delay for memory -based PCIe storage.

The Smartraid 3200 adapters include support for the Microchip Trusted platform, which provides a new level of computing and supply chain safety, based on the hardware root of confidence, based on the Open Compute Security project. For further layers of security, Microchip has expanded its unique Adaptec Maxcrypto Controller-Based Encryptation (CBE) solution to support SAS, SATA and now NVME media and support SELF-ENGRYPTING DRIVE (SED).

Smartraid 3200 RAID adapters support Intel® Virtual Pin Port (VPP) Intelligent Back Management and SFF Universal Backplane Management (UBM) standard to simplify integration and increase product elasticity for system integrators. The industry's leading storage management, including the standard-based platform-level data model (PLDM)/Redfish® device licensing (RDE), is also supported to simplify integration and the diagnostic tool for the microchip chiplink with signal intake analysis and environmental sensitive documentation.
