The purpose of this publication is to provide assistance for the intermediate level oral English graduation. Emphasis is placed on the development of vocabulary and the acquisition of proficiency in the type tasks of the exam. The volume consists of two large chapters. The first chapter contains twenty complete sets of tasks compiled from the task types of the intermediate-level graduation exam (conversation, role-play, independent topic explanation). At the end of each set of tasks, there is an alphabetical glossary with the vocabulary of the topics appearing in the tasks. The second chapter focuses on vocabulary development. It reviews the requirements of the secondary school leaving certificate in twenty topics. The sets of tasks belonging to each topic are structured in the same way. Each set of tasks begins with a word web containing the vocabulary of the topic. This is followed by practice tasks, which help to repeat and practice the required vocabulary, and through oral tasks similar to the type tasks of the oral high school diploma, provide an opportunity to use what has been learned orally. The Appendix contains a collection of language turns that the examinees can use well in different role-play situations. Here are also the sample answers, which are used for independent discussion of the topic with useful advice. The solutions to the tasks of the second chapter can also be read here. The publication also includes videos and 3D animations related to each topic. These can be viewed in the digital version of the book, which is accessed using a unique code inside the back cover of the book. The book is suitable for both individual and group, classroom preparation. It also gives room for individual ideas and solutions: students can add additional terms to glossaries and word webs.
