Product description
We were a few sleepily stretching years past the turn of the millennium, when I woke up too early one spring day and, as it turned out, turned around to grab fresh baked goods warm from the oven for breakfast. In the dawn twilight of the Keleti railway station, I was sneaking towards the hunting ground, I want to say the bakery, when a familiar figure appeared in front of me. I rubbed my eyes several times, but the perception did not change: it was him, the mathematician, librarian, teacher, translator, conscientious objector, spiritual leader... Whom I had almost always met until now in the lighted labyrinth of the library of the research institute in Realtanoda Street, as soon as I walked between the shelves cruises on meter sections... The tourist. Because it was clearly visible from his movement and equipment that he was not going on a trip with a sudden idea, but was going on a routine activity.
After nearly twenty years of acquaintance, I found out that József Merza is a well-known performance hiker in professional circles, and that his work as a writer includes the narration of his hikes.
How lucky I am, I thought, to know a person who, in addition to the Pacific Ocean of realities, is at least as at home in the human inland seas, who, in addition to the anxious dissection (suffering) of spiritual questions, lo and behold, also puts his body to tests, who before the tests and after (and during!), look, he can give himself to the joys of life - how often in MJ's reports the turn of phrase, "and I enjoyed life" is repeated! -, and who is an attentive helper even in the midst of traversing a wide range of difficulties, inconveniences and happy moments.
The cottage cheese bag should sell out before it gets cold... Yes, we are all on the road, we want to complete a distance set by us or others - let's not talk about the weather and don't forget to enjoy life!
