Mécs László - Christmas a Kárpátok alján
2 105 Ft
Product description
László Mécs, a Premontre monk, poet and newspaper editor, is a key figure in the religious lyricism between the two world wars, one of the advocates of the Hungarian minority.
Many of his poems are related to Christmas and the spirituality of the holiday. This volume selects and binds them together in a way that reads them almost imperceptibly into the winter mood: a sky torn by tar branches, snow shimmering like diamond sand, and a shroud of frosty, icy whiteness that already carries the promise of Christmas. In the God-waiting Advent, then, the childish laughter sounds in the sound of Christmas bells, the memories ring and the heart also rings, until finally this heart becomes Bethlehem: goodness is born in it.
Goodness, faith, hope and love are embodied again and again during the Christmas holiday, and in order to keep these fleeting treasures in our hearts as long as possible, we can draw strength from the inspired words of László Mécs.
