The polarizer/analyzer set allows observations with the polarization technique. It consists of a polarizer and an analyzer. The polarizer is placed on the collector and the analyzer is into the opening of the rack above the revolver head. The polarizer can be rotated at 90 °. The intensity of the permeable light changes depending on the relative location of the polarizer and the analyzer. If they are perpendicular to each other, there is a complete darkening effect.

Anisotropic biological patterns (such as blood, urine, joint fluid, contractile elements and collagen fibers) are tested in polarized light.
