    These polarizers are used for observations with polarized light. They include a rotating polarizer (90° rotation) located on the collecting lens and an analyzer that fits into the slot above the rotating objective lens mount. The intensity of the lighting depends on the relative location of the two devices. If they are perpendicular to each other, the pattern will be completely darkened.
