MAGUS SD10S 10х/22 mm (D 30 mm) eyepiece scale

Product description
The eyepiece with scale is used to measure the size of samples and their structures in linear units (millimeters or micrometers). The eyepiece must be installed in place of the standard 10x eyepiece. The scale is located in the plane of the field diaphragm with 0.1 mm divisions. Eyepiece diameter: 30 mm.
Setting
Before measuring, the eyepiece scale must be calibrated for each objective magnification used. This requires a calibration slide - a stage with a micrometer scale. It is recommended to use a calibration slide with a scale of 0.1 mm for a stereoscopic microscope. The slide should be placed on the stage and the microscope should be focused on the scale. The eyepiece must be rotated in the eyepiece tube until the scales of the slide and the eyepiece are parallel to each other.
Calculating the eyepiece scale value for each objective magnification
Each lens magnification is calculated using the following formula: E = TL/A, where E – division of the eyepiece scale; T – scale division of the stage micrometer, marked on the stage micrometer (0.01 mm); L – the number of divisions on the stage micrometer; A - the number of divisions on the eyepiece scale.
For each objective, the magnification values obtained by dividing the eyepiece scale must be recorded.
Calculate the true linear size of the object
When measuring an object, you must first count how many divisions of the eyepiece scale the object covers. The result must be multiplied by the previously calculated scale value for the selected objective magnification. The resulting value will be the true linear value of the object.
