The SAL20 auxiliary lens for stereomicroscopes is fixed to the protective lens cap by means of a thread. Increases system magnification (2x). The field of view is reduced by half (compared to conventional lenses), and the working distance reaches 40.4 mm.

The auxiliary lens, as an additional device, can be used to increase magnification in cases where magnification enhancement with eyepieces is not sufficient, or when eyepieces are not used at all. This happens when a digital camera is connected to the system to make observations.
