The MAGUS Metal VD700 BD is an inverted metallographic digital microscope - the rotatable objective lens holder sits below the sample and uses reflected light for observations. Available microscopy techniques: brightfield, darkfield and polarized light. The microscope is designed for examining metals, alloys, semiconductors and other large non-transparent samples weighing up to 2 kg. It is widely used in industrial facilities, factories and quality control laboratories, as well as universities and research centers.

Digital camera
MAGUS CLM30 is a digital camera designed for fluorescent and dark field microscope techniques. The camera has an 8.3 MP sensor and produces realistic images with a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels. The camera should be used with 4x, 10x, 20x and 40x lenses. When working with low magnification lenses, the camera helps you see the finer details.
Depending on the resolution, the video is recorded at 45 frames/second (fps) or 70 frames/second: the transitions between frames are smooth and imperceptible. The movement of the sample can be tracked in real time without delay. Moving objects can be easily observed using the camera, which is also suitable for classroom presentations.
The camera has a USB 3.0 interface. The data transfer rate is 10 times faster than USB 2.0 cameras. The high-speed camera is recommended for professional laboratories, research and university education.

Optical elements
The microscope head can be mounted normally, but it can also be turned 180° according to the design. It is possible to install a digital camera and a monitor: The three-eye tube is located on the head part of the microscope, and the side camera connector is on the frame. Beam resolution is available in both cases: 50:50 and 100:0 ratio for the microscope head, and 100:0 and 0:100 ratio for the frame.

There is a 5-objective rotatable objective lens holder under the examined sample. There are 4 slots for mounting the included lenses, as well as another slot for mounting an additional lens. All the objectives of the microscope are labeled BD, i.e. they are specially designed for bright-field and dark-field microscopy and have a long working distance.

Illumination
Light source: 50 W halogen bulb. The warm light reduces eye strain and is ideal for long hours of work with the microscope. Thanks to the strong lighting, they provide a detailed, sharp image with any microscope technique and any objective. The light source can be centered along three axes, and the Köhler lighting can be adjusted with an aperture and light apertures on the object side. The reflected light illumination system includes a polarization device and a dark field device.

Stage and focusing mechanism
Display table A round rotating display table with a plate in the middle. Depending on the desired use, different plates can be used: They differ in the hole diameter, which is 10 mm, 20 mm or 30 mm. The sample placed on the stage can be fixed with a holder. The sample can be moved with the stage in two directions: X-axis or Y-axis. The focus can be adjusted by coarse (with the locking button and tension adjustment) and fine focusing. Coaxial coarse and fine focusing knobs are located on both sides so that you can place your hands on the table when using the microscope and do not have to hold them in the air.

Accessories
The capabilities of the MAGUS Metal V700 BD microscope can be increased by adding additional accessories. Such accessories may include eyepieces, long working distance dark and bright field objectives, digital cameras and calibration slides.
