Product description
The microscope is designed to study the microstructure of metals, alloys, semiconductors and other non-transparent samples. The design of the inverted microscope does not limit the size of the examined sample; there is only a weight limit of up to 2 kg. After special preparation, the sample must be placed face down on the microscope stage.
The microscope uses the following three contrast techniques in reflected light: bright field, simple polarization and differential interference contrast techniques.
The bright field method gives an authentic magnified image of the object. Simple polarization removes reflections from metal surfaces and highlights polymers and other foreign elements. Differential interference contrast colors the height difference of an object and thereby reveals the topography of that sample. The studied object appears as a bulge.
The triple-lens tube and the side camera connector allow the simultaneous connection of the monitor and the camera.
The microscope can be used in various fields (metallurgy, machine industry, aerospace industry, nuclear and energy industry), as well as in research laboratories and technical universities.
Microscope head
Tube length - infinite (∞). When assembling the microscope, the user can rotate the eyepiece tubes 180° and adjust the eyepiece distance. The head has three lenses.
The monitor goes into the three-lens tube of the three-eye lens head, and the digital camera goes into the side camera connector. The light beam is distributed 50/50 (the tube is open) or 100/0 (the tube is closed) on the three-lens head part, and 100/0 or 0/100 on the frame.
Revolver head
The 5-objective rotating objective lens holder is attached to the stand under the stage.
There is a special DIC slide on the turret, which is used for working with the differential interference contrast method with 5x, 10x and 20x objectives.
Lenses
Flat achromatic lenses with a wide field of view, DIC method, designed for a simple polarization technique, with a long working distance.
For dark field microscopy, choose the Magus Metal V700 BD.
Focusing mechanism
The coaxial coarse and fine adjustment buttons are located on the bottom of the microscope, on both sides. The user can place their hands on the table and assume a relaxed pose while observing. Focus can be adjusted smoothly and effortlessly.
On the right is the coarse focus knob for quick adjustment after changing the pattern. On the left side there is a ring for adjusting the focusing tension.
Mechanical stage
The object is moved by moving the table along two axes. In the center of the stage there is a round rotating stage plate with a hole of the appropriate diameter (10 mm, 20 mm or 30 mm). The sample holder is supposed to hold the object in place.
Light source
The lamp housing accommodates a 30 W halogen bulb. Bright enough for observation with 4x to 100x magnification objectives used for brightfield, polarized light microscopy and DIC microscopy. The halogen bulb emits light with a color temperature that enables comfortable work.
Illumination using reflected light
The lighting system allows you to adjust the Köhler lighting. The light aperture and the aperture aperture on the subject side are pre-centered at the factory, no additional centering is required. If necessary, the compartments can be adjusted with centering screws. The light source is centered along three axes.
The removable analyzer and polarizer are required for the polarization microscope technique. The polarizer rotates 0-360°, but the analyzer does not.
The DIC prism slide should be used when you are working with 5x, 10x and 20x objectives and the differential interference contrast method.
A set of filters can help you adjust the color reproduction.
Accessories
The technical performance of the microscope is increased by additional accessories. Eyepieces and objectives increase magnification. With digital cameras, the image can be projected onto a monitor or computer screen. The calibration slide helps to measure objects.
