Product description
On the large stage of the MAGUS Metal D650 LCD metallographic microscope, you can examine photomasks, printed circuit boards, integrated circuits and other long and wide samples in reflected light. It can also perform observations with bright field of view and polarized light. The microscope enables very precise focusing. Thanks to the fine focusing scale of 0.7 µm, it is easy to work even at high magnification. It can also be used for research in industrial plants and for teaching engineering students.
Digital camera
The 2 MP sensor of the MAGUS CHD20 digital camera captures realistic Full HD images with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. Due to its high light sensitivity, the camera is suitable for working with fluorescent lighting. The primary color mosaic filters R, G, B can be used to achieve a low dark current level and obtain a clear image.
The camera can be connected directly to a TV, monitor or projector via an HDMI connector. In this mode, the camera works independently without a computer. The HDMI connector provides a high and stable transfer rate when transferring from the camera to an external screen. Furthermore, the camera can be connected to a computer via the USB 2.0 port.
Video is recorded at 60 frames per second (fps) or 50 frames per second depending on the output connector.
Thanks to the camera's high FPS (FPS = frames per second) and high-bandwidth HDMI technology, videos are displayed vividly and there are no freezes or stutters between frames. At maximum resolution, the image is well detailed, moving objects are visible without error, and the movement of objects is displayed without delay.
Monitor
MAGUS MCD monitors combined with MAGUS CHD cameras provide a complete imaging system for MAGUS microscopes.
The camera is connected via the HDMI interface. The monitor displays a real-time image. Its IPS LCD display provides a wide viewing angle, high brightness and good contrast. The image is not distorted, even if we look at the screen from a wide angle. The screen size is 13.3''.
The monitor can be installed on a horizontal surface using a foldable stand, or can be attached directly to the camera or tripod.
Optical elements
The infinity plane achromatic optical elements provide sharp and detailed images. The three-eye lens head part of the microscope is tilted at 30°, and it also has a three-eye lens tube suitable for mounting a digital camera. The camera (not part of the product) can be used to record photos and videos of the examined object, and the microscope image can be projected onto an external screen. The product also has a two-position beam splitter: 100:0 and 0:100. The system directs the light beam into the eyepieces or the camera. There is a diopter adjustment ring on the left tube.
5 lenses can be installed in the revolver head, and all are included with the product. You can also install optional lenses instead of the standard lenses if you want to achieve a higher degree of magnification. The microscope provides 50-800x magnification in the basic configuration. The turret with the objectives is oriented towards the interior - the user can see the objective inserted into the optical path.
Illumination
The reflected light lighting system contains three focusing elements: light source, aperture and object-side diaphragm. The 30 W halogen light emits warm light, so you can work with the microscope for longer periods of time without eye strain. The brightness of the lighting can be adjusted, and it is also possible to set Köhler lighting. The reflected light lighting system includes a polarization device, i.e. a built-in analyzer and a removable rotating polarizer. It comes with a set of color filters.
Stage and focusing mechanism
The most interesting part of the microscope's design is the 280x270 mm stage, which can be moved along two axes in a range of 204 mm. Thus, you can examine large samples and easily study their surface. Coaxial coarse and fine focus knobs (along with a locking knob and a coarse tension knob) are located on either side of the microscope. The handles are located close to the microscope base, so you can rest your hands on the table and perform observations in a comfortable posture.
Accessories
For MAGUS Metal 650 series microscopes, eyepieces, long working distance objectives, digital cameras and calibration slides are also available as accessories. The capabilities of the microscope can be expanded with accessories.
