Florurescent technique can be used with EPI-Fouurescent accessory. The fluorescent technique uses that some materials emit light with a light wavelength. Some samples show their own fluorescence, while others should be treated with fluorochromes.

The accessory is mounted on a light path between the microscope head and the stand. The accessory contains 5 rotating rotors with four fluorescent filters of different wavelengths: wide -band blue (в), green (g), ultraviolet (UV) and narrow band red (R). The desired filter can be brought into the way of light by turning the ring. One of the positions of the magazine corresponds to the clear vision observation. The side buttons are used to adjust the field and aperture compartment opening.

The excitation light sources are LEDs. The LEDs immediately reach the user's brightness, do not heat for prolonged use and turn off quickly if necessary. This makes it easier to switch to fluorescent technology from light vision. LED life is 50,000 hours. In higher education, it is recommended to choose the LED-based fluorescent as it has low maintenance and is the safest.

For fluorescent technique, the Magus Epi-FL05 LED is used with the Magus Planf S-APO fluorescent lens set. The Plan semicromatic fluorescent lens increases the resolution of the microscope and reduces color and spherical errors. The image in the eye lens and on the digital camera is cleaner, more contrast and stronger light than the usual plan with an acromatic lens. A large numeric aperture of fluorescent lenses increases the resolution of the microscope while reducing depth of field. Therefore, we recommend the use of normal lenses with greater depths for glossy observations from the microscope set.
