The MAGUS Bio VD300 LCD is an inverted biological microscope, which is used to examine samples in laboratory vessels with a maximum height of 70 mm and a maximum thickness of 1.2 mm. The objects to be studied can be cell colonies, tissue cultures, biological fluids, etc. The samples do not require mandatory pre-painting. Observations take place in transmitted light. Microscopic techniques: bright field and phase contrast. The microscope is suitable for routine and research work, as well as for teaching.

Digital camera
The 2 MP sensor of the MAGUS CHD30 digital camera captures realistic Full HD images with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. The camera with high light sensitivity offers an automatic focusing function and is suitable for fluorescence observations.

The camera can be connected directly to a TV, monitor or projector via an HDMI connector. In this mode, the camera works independently without a computer. The HDMI connector provides a high and stable transfer rate when transferring from the camera to an external screen. to a computer connecting via Wi-Fi.
Video is recorded at 60 frames per second (fps) or 25 fps depending on the output connector.
The camera combines high FPS and high bandwidth HDMI. This way, videos appear vivid and there are no freezes or stutters between frames. At maximum resolution, the image is well detailed, moving objects are visible without error, and the movement of objects is displayed without delay.

Monitor
MAGUS MCD monitors combined with MAGUS CHD cameras provide a complete imaging system for MAGUS microscopes.
The camera is connected via the HDMI interface. The monitor displays a real-time image. Its IPS LCD display provides a wide viewing angle, high brightness and good contrast. The image is not distorted, even if we look at the screen from a wide angle. The screen size is 13.3''.
The monitor can be installed on a horizontal surface using a foldable stand, or can be attached directly to the camera or tripod.

Optical elements
The microscope has a classic three-eyepiece head part, and the three-eyepiece tube can be used to install a digital camera. The kit does not include the camera. The light beam is split 50/50.
Four accessories or additional lenses can be installed in the turret. Each objective is designed for use with laboratory vessels and has a long working distance. There are 3 flat achromatic objectives for the bright field of view and 1 flat achromatic objective for the phase contrast technique.

Illumination
A 9 W LED serves as an incident light source. The high power of the LED makes the work area bright enough to use with any objective and any microscopy technique. Brightness control does not change the color temperature. The lifetime of the LED (without LED replacement) is approximately 50,000 hours.
The condenser (supplied) has an opening for a phase contrast slider. The phase contrast rings can be centered. By incorporating the slider, you save time when switching between microscopy techniques.

Stage and focusing mechanism
Fixed, mechanical specimen table. It has a cup holder (three cup holders of different sizes are included). Vessels can be moved along the X- and Y-axis using the mechanical attachment. The coaxial coarse and fine focusing mechanism ensures accurate and fast focusing. The coarse focus has a locking mechanism and its tension can be adjusted.

Accessories
Optional accessories include phase objectives, eyepieces, digital cameras and calibration slides.
