Product description
40x magnification, 0.46 µm maximum resolution objective. Designed for use with metallographic microscopes. It can be used to monitor objects with non-flat surfaces. In order not to damage the surface of the lens in such conditions, the lens has a long (3.98 mm) working distance. The lens is used without a cover glass.
The plane-achromatic lens eliminates chromatic distortion for blue and red, and spherical distortion for green. Thanks to the properties of plano-achromatic lenses (they correct the curvature of the field of view by 90%), it provides a wide and distortion-free field of view.
The lens is designed for infinity and has a parfocal length of 45 mm. It can be used well with wide (22 mm) eyepieces. The best image detail is achieved with 7x to 15x magnification eyepieces. Combined with a 10x/22 mm eyepiece, it provides a field of view of 0.55 mm. The useful microscope magnification with this objective will be 300-600x.
