The CMO stereomicroscope uses a main lens to create a three -dimensional image that is absolutely perpendicular to the plane of the sample. The light passing or reflecting the sample is divided into the main lens in two parallel optical channels. The stereoscopic angle is 11 °. The system directs the light beam to the eye lenses or to the digital camera. Replacing the main lens changes the magnification, field of vision and work of the microscope.

Magus stereo A6, а8 and а10 microscopes have a 1x acromatic lens that greatly corrects the curvature of the field of vision and spherical and chromatic aberrations. The Magus 05PO 0.5x plane apocromate mains the work distance and expands the field of view both in the eye lenses and on the digital camera while reducing the complete magnification of the stereomicroscope. Apocromatic optical design corrects spherical and chromatic aberrations, resulting in sharper and cleaner images.
