Lois Lowry - Az emlékek guardian (új borítóval)

Twelve-year-old Jonas lives in a world in which there is no injustice, hunger, violence, no drugs, and complete harmony in the lives of families. This seemingly perfect society is run by a council of wise men. They determine the lifelong career of boys and girls who have reached the age of twelfth, in an annual ceremony. The hero of our story is considered suitable for a very unique task. As a strange old man prepares him for his vocation, the secrets behind the peace of the world around him are revealed to Jonas. The boy sets out on a daring deed...

The special atmosphere of the novel for young people and the tension of its plot hold both children and adult readers captive. The keeper of memories offers an exceptional opportunity to think further, for parents and children, teachers and students to talk about life's big questions.
