Product description
Levenhuk Rainbow 50L PLUS – the perfect combination of stylish design, excellent optical elements and an ergonomic body. Like the other models in the Levenhuk Rainbow family, these microscopes are also ideal for young researchers. Each model comes with the Levenhuk K50 experimental set, which contains everything you need to discover the secrets of the microcosm.
With their advanced optical elements and wide magnification range, Levenhuk Rainbow 50L PLUS microscopes can be used by biology students and laboratory workers. The optical elements of the microscope are covered by a multi-layer coating and have a universal lighting system, with which transparent, non-transparent and semi-transparent samples can be examined.
What makes these microscopes unique is their high magnification capability. Thanks to its 2x Barlow lens, you can achieve 64x, 128x, 160x, 320x, 640x and even 1280x magnification. Levenhuk Rainbow 50L PLUS microscopes are equipped with a spring-loaded lens - if the lens touches the slide during focusing, the spring-loaded structure protects the optical elements from damage. The robust metal body of the microscopes ensures a long service life even if they are frequently used in schools, universities or medical laboratories.
Each microscope comes with a special plastic protective case that protects the instrument from dust and mechanical damage. The Levenhuk D50L PLUS model is a digital microscope designed for photography and video production. It helps you share the results of your studies with friends, colleagues and family members.
The Levenhuk Rainbow 50L PLUS microscope is available in 5 bright colors - just choose the one you like best!
See Levenhuk Rainbow microscopes in action
The Levenhuk Rainbow 50L PLUS Moonstone microscope can be a great gift for a curious teenager, a biology student or a lab technician. The maximum magnification of the instrument is 1280 times – just enough to see even the smallest details on the observed microscope samples. The model has a reliable, robust body - the Rainbow 50L PLUS Moonstone / Moonstone microscope can be used at home and in schools or universities, as well as during laboratory work.
High magnification
The kit includes three objective lenses. The lens with the highest performance (providing 40x magnification) is equipped with a spring protection mechanism. This structure ensures the safety of the optical elements. If you lower the lower objective lenses too far and touch the specimen, the objective lens retracts to prevent possible damage. The kit also includes 2x Barlow lenses, which doubles the magnification. The standard package of the microscope provides 64x, 128x, 160x, 320x, 640x and 1280x magnification.
High magnification
The optical elements are made of high-quality, highly transparent glass. The lens is covered with a multi-layer, special, non-reflective coating. Images will be bright, clear and contrasted – especially important at high magnifications.
Combined lighting - discover the diversity of microscope samples
This model is equipped with two LED lighting systems. Bottom lighting is required for viewing transparent patterns. You will be able to examine, for example, the wing of a bee or discover microorganisms in the water of the aquarium. The overhead lighting enables observation of non-transparent (opaque) objects, e.g.: paper or metal. With this model, you can work with semi-transparent objects using top and bottom lighting at the same time. The brightness of the lighting system is adjustable.
Ergonomic design and reliability
The microscope has an extremely reliable, robust metal body. The head part, which is tilted at 45 degrees and can be rotated at 360 degrees, ensures the most comfortable use of the instrument. This is especially convenient when working in groups - just rotate the head instead of moving the entire microscope for more efficient observation.
The microscope can also be used outdoors - the lighting system can be operated from the mains or with standard AA batteries.
Caution: Please refer to the technical description for the correct voltage and never attempt to connect a 110V device to a 220V outlet (and vice versa) without using a converter. Note that the mains voltage in the US and Canada is 110V, while in most European countries it is 220-240V.
Experimental set
The Levenhuk Rainbow 50L PLUS Moonstone microscope comes with a special experimental kit. The Levenhuk K50 experimental set was developed for children and adult beginners to carry out their first independent experiments. We recommend that you start your observation with the ready-to-use microscope slides, and then, after gaining some experience, try to prepare some of your own samples using the tools in the kit. It can be found in the user guide
