The Levenhuk Nitro 12x42 is a 12x magnification roof edge prism binocular designed for detailed study of very distant objects. Useful for hunting, ornithological research and observation. However, its main feature is its water and fog resistance, which means that the binoculars can be used effectively regardless of rain, snow storms and high humidity. It can be mounted on a tripod to stabilize the image.

The imaging lenses and prisms are made of BK-7 type glass. Thanks to the fully and multi-layer coated optics, the image is sharp and clear even in low light conditions. You can adjust the focus using the central focus wheel - it fits nicely on the finger and can be used to change the focus while observing. The right eye lens has a diopter adjustment ring that can be used to fine-tune the optics to compensate for possible vision problems. The eyepiece is equipped with roll-up eyecups.

The frame is made of very strong ABS plastic. This material makes the telescope extremely resistant to damage, but at the same time it does not make it heavy. For dust protection and a better grip, they are equipped with a non-slip rubber coating and textured inserts directly on the optical tube.
