The Ermenrich Zing AL40 battery tester is used to analyze the condition, performance and main parameters of the car battery. The device has a built-in screen and is connected to the battery with two crocodile clips. The device is operated and the test parameters are set using the simple control elements.

A basic battery test measures voltage, CCA cold cranking amps, internal resistance, and SOH and SOC readings. Based on the read values, the tester evaluates the general condition of the battery (good, OK, error). The Ermenrich Zing AL40 can also be used to test a vehicle's charging system or starting system.

The device does not require an external power supply, it is charged directly through the battery of the vehicle to which it is connected.
