The Ermenrich Verk FB20 testing device is a small device with simple controls to check the quality of the brake fluid. During operation, moisture may accumulate in the car, and this may impair the car's drivability. If too much moisture accumulates, the brake system may fail. That's why it's worth checking the brake fluid regularly.

The operating principle of the test device is based on the measurement of the conductivity of the liquid. The test probe must be placed in the brake fluid. The device operates in DOT 3 mode by default, but can be switched to DOT 4 or DOT 5.1 mode with a button. The device performs the measurement in a few seconds: the moisture percentage appears on the screen and the display changes to green, yellow or red. If the value is between 0-2% and the screen is green, then everything is fine. If the value is between 2-3%, the screen is yellow and you hear a buzzing sound, you should change the brake fluid. If the measured value is 4%, the screen is red and a rapid beep is heard, the brake fluid must be replaced immediately.

The device works with batteries. In order to obtain reliable measurement results, it is necessary to pay attention to the charge level: the device informs the user when replacement is necessary.
