A cleaning tool based on active carbon technology.

A dry cleaning agent containing activated carbon binds most contaminants that cannot be mechanically removed (such as grease) to its own material with a secondary chemical bond, a so-called van de Waals bond. During cleaning, the product thus does not spread the grease on the surface to be cleaned, but binds it and removes it from it. There is a sponge in the cap of the cleaning pencil, which serves as a container for the active carbon dry cleaning agent. The amount in the sponge can be enough for up to hundreds of cleanings (depending on the degree of contamination and use). Before using the cleaning pen, the cap must be firmly pushed onto the cleaning pen and twisted 1-2 times (as if it were threaded and we wanted to screw it on). In this case, the cap's sponge delivers another dose of fresh cleaning material to the cleaning head.

Before the activated carbon cleaning process, mechanical impurities (dust and other particles) must be removed from the surface to be cleaned. The LENSPEN HB-1 air pump and the extendable brush built into the end of the cleaning pencil are suitable for this.

The head is made of flexible rubber with a very fine deerskin coating on the surface with a special activated carbon compound.
On the other side of the cleaning pencil, there is a push-out brush made of natural hair.
It perfectly removes any greasy or solid dirt from the surface of the lenses in a few seconds.
The Lenspen Original is 12.5 cm long, the cleaning surface at the front is circular and 13.5 mm in diameter.

First of all, we can perfectly clean the objectives, front and rear lenses, binoculars and hunting binoculars with it.

Attention!
Due to the concave surface of the cleaning head, LENSPEN Original is only suitable for cleaning convex surfaces! It is not suitable for cleaning flat surfaces (filters, LCD displays), because in this case only the edge of the cleaning head is in contact with the flat surface to be cleaned. As a result, the inner 95% of the cleaning surface does not work. We recommend the LENSPEN FilterKlear product for cleaning the filters. We recommend the LENSPEN DigiKlear product for cleaning LCD displays.

Due to its 13.5 mm diameter cleaning head, LENSPEN Original is not suitable for cleaning small convex lenses! In such cases (compact machine or other small, convex front lenses), we recommend the LENSPEN Minipro product for cleaning.
