The new Leica Calonox 2 Sight thermal camera sets a real benchmark in terms of design and function. Designed and manufactured in Germany, the Leica Calonox 2 Sight focuses on safe and ethical hunting with its ergonomic compact form, practical and intuitive control buttons and optical performance.

Hunters and nature watchers can expect natural, sharp and high-contrast images thanks to the high-quality European LYNRED sensor and image processing software developed by Leica (LIO™ - Leica Image Optimization). Together with the large field of view, objects with a standard height of 1.7 meters can be clearly found from up to 2,210 meters away. High-security detection is possible at 770 meters, and reliable, precise identification is possible at 390 meters for the same size.

Thanks to the highest precision components and a sophisticated manufacturing process, the Leica Calonox 2 Sight LRF comes with precise centering from the factory. As a result, the ballast offers extreme precision. Based on the manufacturer's experience, it does not necessarily require individual shooting, but can be used out of the box and can be exchanged between different scopes and weapons. Nevertheless, a test shot is absolutely necessary before use! The position of the hit point will not change after this, even if the device is disassembled and assembled several times.

The Calonox 2 Sight can be used with most commercial scopes. Combined with the Leica Fortis 6 1.8-12x42i 1.8-12x42i binoculars, they form a perfect unit: a compact system for night hunting. Mounting is done using standard adapters with M43x0.75 threads, which are available for almost all binoculars.

The optional remote control can be conveniently attached to the chin or forebrain and activates the photo/video function. This eliminates the need to change position and allows continuous aiming through the scope.

Conventional thermal cameras periodically calibrate their image accompanied by an audible click and a momentarily frozen image. The Leica Calonox 2 thermal camera finders and ballasts are designed so that this process does not take place mechanically. The Leica software enables silent and immediate recalibration - without freezing the image.

Like all Leica products, the Leica Calonox 2 Sight LRF is intuitive to use. The device can be switched on with a large, stable metal control ring, which makes it easier to switch from day mode to night mode. A latching contactor keeps the device on during switching, saving time.
