Ledger Nano S is a Bitcoin, Ethereum and Altcoins hardware wallet with robust security features to store cryptographic assets and secure digital payments. It connects to any computer (USB) and embeds a secure OLED display to double-check and confirm each transaction with a single press of its side buttons.

The latest generation of hardware
When you use cryptocurrencies, you need to protect confidential data and access to your funds. With Ledger Nano S, secrets such as private keys are never revealed: sensitive operations are isolated within a state-of-the-art secure element within your hardware wallet, locked with a PIN code. Transactions cannot be hacked, they can be physically checked on the embedded screen, by simply pressing a button.

Payment and authentication
Ledger Nano S is a companion to Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, and other blockchain-based crypto collections. You can send and receive payments, check your accounts and manage multiple addresses for all currencies on the same device. Nano S also supports the FIDO Universal Second Factor standard, which simplifies the authentication process for compatible online services such as GMail, Dashlane, Dropbox or GitHub.

Safety
- Secure element: Ledger Nano S is based on dual-chip architecture (ST31 / STM32, certification level: CC EAL5+). The integrity of the firmware is guaranteed by encryption certification.
- PIN code: Ledger Nano S only provides access to your accounts if you connect a 4-digit PIN code to the computer every time.
- Malware protected: Initialization or restoration of the configuration takes place entirely in the secure environment of the Ledger Nano S. Your cryptographic secrets are never exposed to the outside world.
- Privacy: Your private key is never held or known by Ledger or a third party: these elements of the Secure Element are hard. With Ledger Nano S, your wallet remains decentralized, your own bank.

Ledger Nano S runs separate companion applications. Taking advantage of the latest applications and security features, Ledger Manager enables firmware updates and application catalog browsing.
