KINGSTON 1TB KC2500 M.2 PCIe M.2 2280 SKC2500M8/1000G
Product description
The KC2500 SSD cards are fast, can be easily installed even in a notebook, and also offer several options in terms of data encryption.
Kingston's range has been updated with a new SSD series, the members of which can primarily be used in classic desktop and mobile computers, as well as in workstations - at least the company intends them for these areas. The SSD cards using the SIlicon Motion SM2262EN type SSD controller have a PCI Express 3.0 x4 interface, and in terms of speeds, they can reach a continuous maximum read speed of 3500 MB/s and a continuous maximum write speed of 2900 MB/s, depending on the model, of course.
Each of the new SSDs has AS-XTS 256-bit end-to-end encryption to ensure data protection, but they also support TCG Opal 2.0 and Microsoft eDrive, meaning they can also be used as secure storage. The SSD cards in M.2-2280 format, which do not use a separate cooling plate, strengthen the KC2500 series, and their data storage capacity extends up to 2 TB, as can be seen from the table below.
