Kim Stanley Robinson - Red Hold

We are thirty years ahead of time and have already invaded the moon.

American Fred Fredericks travels to the moon for the first time, intending to set up a communication device for the Chinese Lunar Natural Science Foundation. But a few hours after his arrival, he witnesses a murder and is forced to go into hiding.

This is also the first trip to the moon for Ta Su, the famous host. He has connections and is considered an influential person, but he also finds that the Moon holds many dangers for anyone who travels there.

And finally, there is Chan Chi, the daughter of China's finance minister, whose fate is understandably watched by those in power. He travels to the Moon for personal reasons, but when he secretly wants to return to Earth, the chain of events that follows changes everything - both on Earth and on the Moon.

The Red Moon is the latest epic tale of space exploration and political revolution from New York Times bestselling author Kim Stanley Robinson.
