- bottom filter attached to the funnel (the filter does not go into the bin when the coffee is dispensed.)
- the upper filter is attached to the coffee maker body with a rubber flange (it only needs to be disassembled and cleaned sometimes). You don't have to deal with the top filter every time you load coffee.
- Brewed coffee only comes into contact with porcelain, the tannic acid content of coffee does not corrode aluminum. (Although we don't think there is any sort of dissolution happening there, this has sometimes been a concern of some customers).

The porcelain is attached to the upper part with heat-resistant silicone glue. Even after several years of use, the two pieces cannot be separated without damage.
