The name of Jeremy Reader, who surrounded the five women and then brutally bled them, is not unknown to Matt, after all he made him cool. The man, who is incarcerated in a maximum-security penitentiary, claims that he deeply regrets his past atrocities and sent his fiancee to Ballard to warn him that an ardent follower was planning to kill using his method. Can the penitent serial killer be trusted, or is it another sick game where Grace and Matt are potential victims? And what does the alleged follower have to do with the corpses found in the moorland, which were tattooed with the symbol of the Lithuanian tree of life?
Matt Ballard is facing the last case of his career, and he may not make it out of it with his skin intact...
