Johanna Mo - Dal a in the dark

After more than a decade and a half, detective Hanna Duncker returns to Öland to liquidate her former home after her father's death, and comes to the realization that she wants to stay on the island.
He settles in a beach house and starts working for the local police. But not everyone is happy that he is back in town, because his father was arrested for murder sixteen years ago, and for many, Hanna is nothing more than the daughter of the killer Duncker. Integration is not helped by the fact that his new boss is the policeman who put his father behind bars.
On her very first day at work, Hanna is called to the scene of a disturbing crime: a fifteen-year-old boy was found dead in the southern part of the island, in Kőpustán. When the victim turns out to be the son of Hanna's childhood best friend, her pursuit of the truth becomes a reckoning with the past and the people she once let down.
