"The stories, rich in well-known fairy-tale twists, end with an instructive, amusing, sometimes touching ending. The clever little children, following their mother's warning, do not let the wolf into the house, the wings of the wet butterfly siblings are finally dried by the sun, the cunning fox is outwitted by the rooster, the lost little girl is on the fox's back We owe the beauty of the language to the translations of Lajos Áprily and Zoltán Jékely.

Igor Lazin presents the colorful world of folk tales with humorous illustrations that fit well with the visual world of today's children."
