Jack Ketchum - A szomszéd girl

The classic horror in a new edition!

Suburban neighborhood in the 1950s. Shady, tree-lined streets, well-kept lawns, comfortable little homes. A pleasant, peaceful environment to grow up here.

Except for teenage Meg and her disabled sister Susan. Somewhere in a cul-de-sac, in the dark, dank basement of the Chandler family, the two girls become victims of their own aunt, at the mercy of the cruel rants and tantrums of a distant relative who has gone completely insane. It's a madness that infects the woman's three sons - and eventually the entire neighborhood.

Twelve-year-old David, who lives next door, is the only one who stumbles upon what happened, wavering hesitantly between the actions of the two girls and their merciless, savage tormentors. Ultimately, this boy has to make a decidedly grown-up decision.

Jack Ketchum's story, published in 1989, has not aged at all in the last three decades, and is considered by fans and critics as one of the classics of horror. The book was also made into a highly successful award-winning film in 2007.
