The ICY Dock ToughArmor RAID MB902SPR-B R1 is a rugged, dual-slot drive enclosure that accommodates 2 x 2.5" SATA SSD/HDD in your computer's 5.25" optical drive bay. It has a built-in hardware RAID controller, so it offers RAID 1 mirroring or JBOD mode without a separate RAID card or software. The RAID calculations are performed by its own chip, so it does not burden the system's resources, and the LED indicators provide real-time status information. It is an ideal choice for mission-critical systems, industrial automation and file servers.

Thanks to the EZ-Slide removable drawer design, drives can be replaced without shutting down the system, which is especially useful in case of failure. The trays are compatible with several other ToughArmor cases, making them easy to move between systems. Drives with a thickness of 5-15 mm are widely used, whether they are SSDs or larger capacity HDDs.

The all-metal housing and trays provide excellent heat dissipation and a high degree of physical protection. Built-in vibration dampening reduces noise, while EMI grounding prevents damage and data loss from static discharge. The large ventilation openings help to cool the system, and the lockable SATA and power cables guarantee a secure connection.
