The ToughArmor EX MB491SKL-1B is a highly durable 2.5" SAS/SATA HDD/SSD mobile rack designed for industrial and military use, which can be built into a standard 3.5" drive bay. It is specially designed for extreme environments where reliability, physical protection and fast maintenance are critical. It is an ideal choice for military, automotive, marine, industrial automation, autonomous and aerospace systems.

The device has an all-metal body and removable tray that meet MIL-STD-810H military standards for shock and vibration resistance. The IPX6-rated waterproof front cover provides effective protection against high-pressure water jets, so the drive stays safe in wet, dirty or harsh environments. Dual locking mechanism - keyed lock and manual locking screw - prevents accidental drive removal and unauthorized access.

The removable, hot-swap tray enables quick replacement of drives without shutting down the system, thus minimizing downtime for critical applications. The rack accepts both 5-15 mm high 2.5" SATA and SAS HDDs and SSDs, so it offers an extremely flexible solution. A status LED with active power monitoring only lights up when a drive is installed, while a dust cover protects internal connectors when the tray is not in use.
