I know from many years of practice that the number of children in need of speech therapy sessions and therapy is increasing rather than decreasing, speech disorders are more complex, and speech disorders requiring more professional aspects and longer-term therapy are more common. In many cases, it would be good to start the sessions at a younger age, so that the child is "school-ready" for the beginning of learning to read and write.
