HERTZ HMX 8.8 S-LD-G.2 marine coaxial speaker RGB LED gray

The Hertz HMX 8.8 S-LD-G.2 is an 8.8-inch (224 mm) marine coaxial speaker with RGB LED lighting, designed for open deck environments on boats. It combines a 36 mm PEI dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet, faceplate and acoustic lens with a long-throw woofer featuring a 32 mm voice coil. Rated at 100 W RMS and 200 W peak with a 4-ohm impedance, it delivers a powerful, dynamic sound across a frequency range of 45 to 25,000 Hz.

The crossover is fully redesigned, sealed and protected, with a resettable solid-state protection circuit for the tweeter. The sport grille is made of UV- and salt-resistant ASA and, according to the manufacturer, improves acoustic transparency. The membrane is UV-inhibited polypropylene, the surround is Santoprene, and the gold-plated connectors resist corrosion.

The speaker carries the Hertz Pure Marine certification, has an IP65 rating and meets the ASTM-D4329 (UV resistance) and ASTM-B117 (salt fog) standards. It suits boats exposed to spray, sunlight and salty air.
