We have forgotten how to be good guests, how to walk lightly on the Earth, as other living beings do." Barbara Ward Although many of us are aware of the negative effects of human activities on our Earth, it is still difficult to take responsibility at the level of the individual. Consumption has become a central issue, beyond expectations are high and we take too many things for granted. Think of a trip abroad, but of course we also want to own the latest technical innovations. Meanwhile, we eat fast food, expect the possibility of getting to work comfortably and quickly, or turn on the heating at the first cold breath. Into the sand we bury our heads in the impact on the environment and devote little time to how we can transform our lives for the benefit of our Earth. We cannot expect others to step up for us - it takes all of us to make change happen. The "Little Green Book" aims to highlight the main processes by which humanity damages the environment; it presents different types of pollution, deforestation, industrial production and the transformation of agriculture. It will provide facts and theories and help with ideas on how we can change step by step and how we can make our lives more environmentally conscious.
