The Santon fire protection switch is used for de-energizing the DC sections of solar systems and for fire protection disconnection of solar cables. The DFS series works with a motorized X-type switch and can even be placed directly near the solar field. This minimizes the necessary cabling and automatically disconnects the solar cables in the event of a complete power outage of the facility, thus increasing safety.
In the event of a power failure, the DFS automatically shuts down and then automatically switches back on when the AC power supply is restored, so there is no need to manually switch it back on after a possible power failure.
