Filters
Effective air purification
The special foam built into the filters removes 98% of grease and other impurities from the air, making the "climate" of our kitchen much fresher and cleaner.
LED lighting
The latest extractor hoods contain LED lighting, thus creating excellent visibility on the hob and its surroundings. The built-in LEDs (light-emitting diodes) are highly efficient and provide better illumination compared to other light sources, their light is closer to natural light, their energy consumption is minimal, while their useful life can be up to three times longer. Intelligently placed LEDs provide optimal lighting for the hob and are an important aesthetic and functional element of the kitchen.
Air circulation hoods
Air circulation hoods suck in air saturated with steam and odors through a filter and return the treated air to the kitchen. If it is not possible to build a pipeline for extraction, then the use of an air-rotating extractor can be an alternative. In this case, the machine draws in air through a carbon filter, filters out kitchen odors and steam, and returns clean air to the kitchen. Air-rotating kitchen hoods are easy to install, and are usually used in block houses, where it would be difficult to build a pipeline leading directly to the outside. Extractors draw in the smoke, filter out the vapor, and blow the odors out through a pipe leading outside the building. Changing the carbon filter may be necessary once or twice a year, depending on how often the hood is used.
Quieter operation
In addition to performance and design, the noise level of the device is also an important aspect when choosing a hood. Gorenje's top models are capable of super-quiet operation due to their insulation, and their noise level is accordingly very low.
Capacity
"What capacity should a new extractor have?
The capacity mainly depends on the size of the kitchen. According to the golden rule, the extractor should be able to replace the entire air volume ten or twenty times per hour. For example, if the floor area of the kitchen is 4 x 4 m and the interior height is 2.5 m, the capacity of the kitchen extractor hood is approx. 400-800 m³ per hour. When installing the extractor, there is always some pressure loss. It is therefore important to observe the following rules:
- always take into account the diameter (Ø) of the extractor's recommended outlet pipe, which is indicated on the outlet pipe
- if possible, use a smooth pipe to minimize resistance.
- the pipeline should be as short as possible and contain as few bends as possible
- pipes contain soft bends instead of sharp bends to allow air to flow unhindered to minimize pressure loss"
