1. Fold down the safety lock and open the device
2. The battery cover is thus easily accessible and removable. Insert the 2 x 1.5V AA batteries, paying attention to the correct polarity
3. Fold the top of the device back, then place the foil between the welding surfaces, press down the top of the device and pull it along the foil you want to seal
4. As a result of stronger pressure, the device also cuts the bag along the welding line
5. After use, fold back the safety lock
