Lactoferrin is the protein that makes colostrum so valuable. However, colostrum also contains many undesirable growth factors (e.g. IGF-1), milk protein, milk sugar, and hormones. GAL Lactoferrin plus, on the other hand, is free of these (or may contain traces of milk protein). It contains all three types of lactoferrin naturally occurring in colostrum, but predominantly apo-lactoferrin, which is the most valuable of them.
