Kossuth Kiadó's new historical series presents eighteen figures from the thousand-year history of Hungarian statehood who, as rulers, politicians or "gray eminences", guided the fate of Hungary and the Hungarian people in a decisive way - sometimes in a more favorable direction, sometimes in a more unfortunate direction. The authors of the series, marked with the name of the editor-in-chief Ignác Romsics, are renowned historians of the given era and personality. The volumes present the reader with these fate-changing individuals, illustrated with rich images and contemporary documents.
