If we could say in a single sentence who and what the Hungarian beer snob is, there would be no book written about him, a 21st-century How to drink! Of course, we also ask the most important question, whether we can only enjoy wines and the company and trust of wine lovers as wine snobs; is there a middle ground between the heaven of wine academics and the hell of VBK? Because we are convinced that there is, our book offers usable knowledge about wines, wine tasting, and wine regions, so that the dear reader can navigate the exotic maze of sur lie, beaujolais, and barrel seasonings in the comfort of their own home without expensive courses.

In the meantime, we will also create a phantom drawing of the circled person, the Hungarian wine snob; well, not by condensing the phenomenon into a single character, but by recording dozens of snapshots of its face and occurrence. We think about the wine snob in all of us with committed bias, (self-)ironic exaggerations, and loving and compassionate humor. If you don't have a shirt, don't wear one!
