Product description
Who Runs Away and Who Stays ended with Lila starting a computer company with Enzo, and Elena leaving her husband for her old love, Nino, jeopardizing her writing career and neglecting her daughters' upbringing.
The story of Elena and Nino is a story of passions, and Elena soon chooses the locations of her life according to where she can be with her lover. During one of his trips to Naples, he learns that Lila wants to meet him at all costs.
The saga encompassing the six-decade history of the two women and with it the history of Naples and the whole of Italy ends with the story of the lost child. Elena Ferrante, as a worthy successor of the great writers of the 19th century, presents us with a world that is even more complete, richer, more effervescent, and unforgettable than before.
Elena Ferrante is the great mystery of contemporary world literature. His novels are a resounding success, they win prizes, they are translated into many languages, but his identity is unknown. All we know about him is that he was born in Naples, and he is the author of Prodigal Love, When I Left You, and Woman in the Dark. His first two novels were made into films by Mario Martone and Roberto Faenza. He collected his correspondence, notes and unpublished writings in his workshop diary La Frantumaglia (Shards). In 2007, a children's book entitled La spiaggia di notte (Night beach) was published, and in 2019 a book of essays entitled L'invenzione occasionale (Random hits) was also published. The story of the lost child is the fourth and final volume of the tetralogy of Naples novels (2011-2014). The first two volumes of the series were filmed by HBO.
