The title of this volume - Orwellia - refers to the utopian society and world empire known in George Orwell's world-famous books. The XXI. The seemingly utopian state of the 20th century, the private empire of money power - Orwellia - is not a utopia, but an existing reality. Just as sugar disappears in a glass of water, so this world empire exists hidden in the international system of visible states. This privatized empire of background power operates as a global dictatorship, and has become the modern leviathan of the unfolding new world order.

In Orwellia, power is in the hands of the money and corporate oligarchy. It controls the organized financial power called the "market". It transformed the nation-state, which was previously at the service of society and the public interest, into its own service institution. This supranational oligarchy carefully oversees that the exercise of power globally - as well as within individual states - is always in the hands of its own people. Today, these vassal states organize the mercenary armies that can be deployed in any part of the world as needed. This privatized world empire takes care of the training of its officials, who, as commanders of mercenary armies and collaborative governors, contribute to keeping the movements fighting for self-determination and national interests under control, and to run the provinces of Orwellia.
