Product description
With the DJI Ronin 4D, we've integrated our most advanced technologies into a single cutting-edge and comprehensive cinematography solution that gives solo filmmakers breakthrough flexibility and limitless opportunities for coordinated shooting.
- Film imaging system
- 4-axis stabilization
- LiDAR focusing
- Wireless transmission
DJI Ronin 4D offers a completely unique design. Its solid housing, made of carbon fiber and aluminum-magnesium alloy, integrates imaging, stabilization and focusing systems, as well as wireless transmission and control. This prevents time-consuming setup and enables faster recording.
The Ronin 4D is equipped with the Zenmuse X9, DJI's flagship full-frame camera. It also includes DJI's latest image processing system, CineCore 3.0. This system uses DJI's proprietary chip to provide an advanced processor architecture, offering massive computing power in a compact movie camera. CineCore 3.0 enables the Ronin 4D to support Apple ProRes RAW, ProRes 422 HQ and H.264 video capture internally. It also supports up to 8K/75fps and 4K/120fps video recording, so it provides multiple options for professional-level creation.
- 8K/75fps (X9-8K) / 6K/60fps 4K/120fps (X9-6K)
- 14+ levels of dynamic range
- 800/4000 (X9-8K) / 800/5000 (X9-6K) Native ISO
Resolution
DCI 8K (8192×4320)/60 fps video captures every little detail, from rich foliage to inspiring architecture, skin texture to hair, all in flawless quality. For those who need 4K output, recording in 8K offers unprecedented creative possibilities, with greater flexibility to crop, recompose and stabilize videos afterwards.
High ISO
Zenmuse X9 supports dual native ISO (X9-8K: 800/4000; X9-6K: 800/5000) that captures images with excellent detail and minimal noise, even if you're shooting an evening cityscape or beach, or in low candlelight record a lit scene.
With 14+ stops of dynamic range, the Zenmuse X9 provides a natural transition between highlights and shadows even in complex lighting conditions such as backlit scenes and direct sunlight. These traditionally difficult scenes can now be captured with ease and confidence.
Color science
Thanks to the robust computing power provided by the DJI Cinema Color System (DCCS) and CineCore 3.0, the Zenmuse X9 is able to give images a cinematic look while maintaining authentic and accurate colors. It also supports the industry-standard ACES workflow for seamless color compatibility with other film cameras.
Built-in 9-stage ND filters
The X9 has 9 levels of built-in high-quality ND filters (from ND 2 to ND 512 or ND 0.3 to ND 2.7) that can be quickly and easily engaged thanks to the internal motorized system. These filters are designed to match and complement Ronin 4D's color science.
DL lenses
The X9's standard DL mount supports three compact full-frame prime lenses. These are made from lightweight monocoque carbon fiber, so they weigh just 180g. More DJI lenses will be available in the future.
Interchangeable lens mounts
The X9 supports interchangeable lens mounts (bayonets), including DJI's proprietary DL mount, as well as third-party mounts such as the Leica M. Ultra-wide f/0.95 high-aperture high-performance zoom, macro and anamorphic lenses compatible with conventional film cameras also work on the X9, providing flexible lens options.
Wireless control
Whether you use manual or autofocus lenses, the X9's dedicated modules provide wireless lens control and even autofocus.
4-axis stabilization
DJI Ronin 4D adds a Z-axis to the traditional 3-axis gimbal, which effectively reduces vertical camera shake and provides dolly-like stabilization performance. The four axes work together with a downward ToF (Time-of-Flight) sensor, forward and downward dual visual sensors, built-in IMU and barometer, and an advanced new algorithm to take overall stabilization to a whole new level.
When you combine this compact frame with powerful stabilization capabilities, complex camera movements that were previously very expensive to achieve are now easily achievable.
Integrated Gimbal camera
The Ronin 4D integrates the imaging and stabilization systems while keeping only the sensor and the necessary optical components in the gimbal camera. The gimbal's tilt axis uses a double symmetrical motor, while both the pan axis and the roll axis are designed with an additional stiffness buffer.
The compact and portable gimbal system makes it possible
