This compact adapter connects computers, laptops and other devices with an HDMI output to monitors and projectors that only have a traditional VGA input. It converts the digital HDMI signal into an analogue VGA signal, making it a practical way to use older displays with modern source equipment.
Since the VGA standard carries only video, audio is delivered in analogue form through the built-in 3.5 mm jack socket, which can be connected directly to the display or to an external speaker. For stable operation and sufficient signal strength, external power can be supplied via the microUSB socket on the device.
The flexible cable measures 150 mm in length and comes in black. The adapter weighs 50 g and its small size makes it easy to handle.
